Does your ministry include making your building more accessible to the community, or churchyard care and maintenance?
The Church in Wales has several training courses which members of the URC may find helpful. The only course that has a bit of a Church in Wales (CiW) “flavour” is the Faculties, Permissions & Building Contracts session. However, the other parts are quite general. If you want to know the dates, topics and who to contact, do read on!

Lightship 2000 is an exciting ecumenical venture in which Churches in Wales are working together to help people to meet God where they are rather than in Church on a Sunday morning. A small chapel is open daily and Holy Communion celebrated weekly. Find out more at: www.lightship2000.co.uk

Wales Synod is in dire financial trouble. So much so that at Synod Meeting the stark question was put: Is Wales Synod viable? A Reserves Policy to meet winding-up costs should the National Synod of Wales be declared insolvent was agreed. If Wales Synod fails financially, churches would be split between neighbouring English URC synods and the distinctive national identity of Wales Synod would be lost.
